DAEWOO MOTORS LAUNCHES TWO MID-SIZE BUSES

Article Abstract:

Daewoo Motors India Ltd launched two mid-sized buses and entered the commercial vehicle segment on September 3, 1998. The Royale is priced at Rs8.08 lakh while the Caravan is priced at Rs7.60 lakh. The company has projected a production of 1200 buses per annum for both the domestic and export markets. Its unit at Surajpur has an installed capacity to produce 15000 buses per annum. (khr)

NORTEL INDIA LAUNCHES KEY TELEPHONE SYSTEMS

Nortel India (NI) has launched Norstar brand key telephone systems in India. NI which is a part of Northern Telecom of Canada has entered into a marketing tie up with GEIL Projects & Services Ltd (GEIL). Under the agreement, GEIL will market Nortel's Norstar range of key telephone systems in India. Norstars will be made available in the analog, hybrid and digital variants. (gs)

ESSAE-TERAOKA LAUNCHES HIGH-PRECISION SCALE

Essae-Teraoka of Bangalore will launch the DC-85 range of electronic high-precision counting scale. The new electronic scale has automatic recomputing function which improves sampling accuracy. The new electronic scale can perform addition and subtraction functions and net and gross weight display. The data from the machine can be transferred to a personal computer. (gs)
