DENMARK: 27-STOREY TOWER TO BE BUILT IN TASTRUP

Article Abstract:

The highest building in Denmark i.e. 106 metres will be erected in Tastrup, Denmark, The 27-storey building consists of three towers built in a circle with an atrium courtyard. The construction of the Euro Sky Center, which is the working name of the building, will be financed by foreign investors. Construction is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2002. Carl Bro will be engaged as the consulting engineer for the project.

DENMARK: CODAN TO INVEST IN NEW PREMISES

Article Abstract:

The Danish insurance company Codan will assemble the whole company in new premises in Copenhagen. Now the company is located at six different addresses. The most likely solution is a new office building, says director Poul Mortensen, and the company has contacted the construction companies NCC, Skanska and Hojgaard & Schultz in this purpose. Codan needs up to 35,000 sq. metres, Poul Mortensen says.

DENMARK: MONBERG & THORSEN REJECTS BID

Article Abstract:

The Danish construction group Monberg & Thorsen rejects the DKr 2.3 billion (US$ 280 mn) bid from Sweden's Linnegruppen. Monberg & Thorsen Holding's CEO Mogens Granborg says the offer is too low.
