DENMARK: AIMS TO BECOME NO.1 IT COUNTRY IN THE WORLD

Article Abstract:

Danish Industry Minister Ole Stavad said at a seminar held over the weekend with Futurecamp that the government is to make major efforts to put into practice the proposals generated during the seminar as regards promoting Denmark's position as the leading IT nation in the world. These efforts stem from the Danish Prime Minister's vision of making Denmark the leading IT nation in the world. Futurecamp is the brainchild of two former Framfab members Tim Frank Andersen and Clause Bindslev. The Futurecamp seminar generated 21 proposals and they include among other things promoting co-operation between retired corporate people and students to develop new ideas and products. Another effort includes "Danish Brainware" i.e. promoting Denmark as the leading IT nation and thirdly, "Operation Network" i.e. young people helping elderly people with IT matters.
