DENMARK: DEUTSCHE BANK OPENS NEW OFFICE IN COPENHAGEN

Article Abstract:

German investment bank Deutsche Bank has ambitions to grow internationally, and part of the plan is to open new offices in Scandinavia. The bank is already established in Stockholm and Helsinki, and it has a small, specialised office in Oslo. The Scandinavian branch is now planning to open a new office in Copenhagen, as they find the Danish market increasingly interesting. Globally, Deutsche Bank is aiming to compete with the largest investment banks, such as Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. They have bought the banks Alex Brown and Bankers Trust, but in Scandinavia the bank is planning to grow organically.

DENMARK: BANKS TO TAKE OVER SYSTEMFORUM'S EFAKTURA

Article Abstract:

The 12 banks, for whom SystemForum developed the electronic invoice eFaktura, will now take over the software as SystemForum applied for the suspension of payment orders in March. The electronic invoice makes it possible for the banks' corporate clients to limit paper work and thus save money. The banks will either use or further develop eFaktura, which according to Danske Bank's manager Jorgen Klejnstrup, will take a couple of months and cost less than DKr10mn (US$1.2mn).
