DENMARK: NETWORK FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY COMPANIES

Article Abstract:

Bankinvest, the biggest investor in Denmark in biotechnology companies, has decided to create a network for biotechnology companies. The network targets managers at the biotechnology companies in Denmark and Sweden that Bankinvest has invested in. The network will consist of 40-50 persons in case two or three persons from each company that Bankinvest has invested in will join it. Bankinvest has invested several hundred Danish crowns in all in biotechnology companies. The network aims to make it possible for companies to exchange information with each other and to discuss possible joint projects on the international arena.

DENMARK: NEG MICON TO REDUCE STAFFING LEVELS

Article Abstract:

NEG Micon, the Danish manufacturer of wind power generators, is to reduce staffing levels by 260 employees. 210 of them are employed in Denmark, mainly in production, and 50 abroad. The reason behind the move is liquidity problems.
