India: Danish Grundfos acquires software company

Article Abstract:

Grundfos, the Danish pump producer, has acquired the Indian software company Dansteel Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. from Dansteel Engineering A/S. The Indian company, that has been developing software to the steel industry, will now start producing software to the pump industry. This is the second investment by Grundfos in a high-technological IT company within a two-week period. Under the circumstances, Grundfos has to develop its own technology required to manufacture intelligent pumps.

As the first pump producer in the world, the Danish company Grundfos is now able to make pumps of titanium. These pumps are suitable especially for saline surroundings such as sea water etc.
