The Government's proposal for a new packaging tax could be to the disadvantage of environment-friendly packaging. This is the opinion of Kalle Braa Andersen, MD of Danapak, one of the largest packaging companies in Denmark, who fears that the new tax will reduce the recycling of paper and paperboard. The proposed tax system will be based on weight, and recycled fibres of paper and paperboard weigh more than new fibres, says Kalle Braa Andersen.

The expansion plans for Kastrup, the international airport in Copenhagen, might be in danger. The air traffic has decreased severely during the last months and if things do not change the expansion plans could be postponed. It is no immediate danger, the projects that are already running will not be affected. The decision about future expansion plans will be taken in a year or so, this according to Niels Boserup, VP at K benhavns Lufthavne.
