Article Abstract:

There are more than 60 regional and national Internet Service Providers in Switzerland. All of these companies provide subscribers a telephone number for their modems to call and an e-mail address, but they vary in other services offered. Those who want access to the Internet from their own homes must first have a PC with a modem and then open a dial-up account. Home office users can gain access at faster speeds with the use of an Integrated Service Digital Network terminal adapter card. A list of Internet Access Providers in Switzerland is presented.

Article Abstract:

The tremendous impact of the commercialization and global connection of the Internet to the international marketing demands an update of student training and academic literature on the electronic-age marketing. Students should now be prepared for electronic commerce, global advertising and financial transactions on the Internet. A collaborative research initiative to look into the international marketing implications of the Internet may also check if the current teaching and research methods and theoretical paradigms are still applicable.
