Deutsche Bank plan may shake Germany

Article Abstract:

Deutsche Bank AG announced its interest in selling off its industrial assets, including DaimlerChrysler AG, by announcing plans to place 40 billion marks ($24.26 Billion) of holdings into seperate corporations. A spokesperson for the Deutsche Bank said the company's aim is an active and professional portfolio managment. As one of Germany's largest industrial shareholders, if Deutsche Bank were to divest even a portion of major holdings, it would cause major shiffling of Germany's industrial and finacial assets.

CSFB may add research unit. Company would revive DLJ name and provide independent stock data

Article Abstract:

This article describes plans by CSFB to revive the stock-research company Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette that CSFB bought and subsumed in 2000. The goal of the plan, dubbed "Project Independent Research," is to provide high quality stock research to brokerages and investors, all while remaining independent of CSFB.
