Deutsche Boerse gets upper hand

Article Abstract:

Deutsche Boerse AG will have an approximately two-thirds stake in a merged stock exchange that it is proposing with the London Stock Exchange PLC. As a result, Deutsche Boerse will have effective control of the London Stock Exchange.

Deutsche Boerse to launch portal for individual investors

Deutsche Boerse announced that it was planning to launch an online portal for German and overseas investors. The site will be called NeuerMarkt.com and will be launched in the 2001 first-quarter.
