Deutsche Telekom to buy VoiceStream

In what is expected to be the first of several acquisitions in the United States, Deutsche Telekom has agreed to to buy VoiceStream Wireless for stock and cash. The wireless company is values at $50.5 billion (54.3 billion euros).

Deutsche Telekom moves to gain control of PTC to edge out Vivendi

Article Abstract:

Deutsche Telekom AG has acquired a minority share of Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC) from Elektrim SA for $400 million (452.1 million euros). Deutsche Telekom, which already owns about 49% of PTC, acquired 3.5% of the wireless telecom firm.
