Dollar falls against yen, euro; U.S. jobless figures still sting

Article Abstract:

The American dollar fell in value in relation to the yen and the euro. The dollar fell to 116.26 yen from 116.71 yen. The market appeared to be waiting to see if the Bank of Japan would intervene to stop the rise of the yen. In addiiton, the U.S. posted weak employment figures for the August 2003 period.

Dollar rises against the euro

Article Abstract:

The American dollar saw its value rise against the euro and drop against the Japanese yen after the 2003 Labor Day holiday. The dollar got 116.15 yen, while the euro was being exchanged at $1.0862.

Dollar declines against the yen, climbs on euro

Article Abstract:

The US dollar lost value against the Japanese yen on August 21, 2003. The dollar however, did gain value agains the euro. The dollar dropped to 117.55 yen from 118.15 yen.
