Doxology

Article Abstract:

There are plans for Lazard to be reunified, with Lazard Brothers and Lazard Freres' ownership brought together through Lazard Partners, which functions in a way similar to a holding company. The firm will be run through a committee with seven members with Michel David-Weill as chairman. The move may reflect Lazard's aim to perform better in cross-border deals. Lazard Freres operates in France and New York, and Lazard Brothers in London, with each office characterized by frugality, but also having its own culture.

Thoroughbred or also-ran? Lehman Brothers
