Cap Gemini, chasing acquisitions, buys Beechwood for $200 million

In an effort to expand its interests outside of France, Cap Gemini S.A. has acquired Beechwood Inc. The U.S. firm was purchased for $200 million cash. Both companies provide information-technology services for the telecommunications industry.
