MAN B&W ACQUIRES 51% IN WMI POWER

Article Abstract:

MAN B&W Diesel AG (MAN) of Germany has acquired 51 percent stake in WMI Power Plant Pvt Ltd (WMIPPL). The company has been renamed as MAN B&W Diesel Power Plant (I) Ltd. WMIPPL is promoted by Vazirani of the WMI group. MAN and the WMI group have supplied power plants with a total capacity of 1200 mw in India. Their customers include L&T, Ispat Alloys and Jindal Vijaynagar. (gs)
