EU charges glassmakers with price-fixing, collusion

Article Abstract:

Several automotive glass makers have been charged with collusion and price-fixing by the European Union. Although the EU declined to name the companies, two European units of Japanese firms have acknowledged they have been notified. The two units are Pilkington Group Ltd., a division of Nippon Sheet Glass Co., and AGC Automotive Europe S.A., a division of Asahi Glass Co.

Aeroports de Paris price set

Aeroports de Paris of France is planning an initial public offering with shares that are being valued by as much as 45 Euros ($56.67) each. The company is valued at 4.5 billion Euros ($5.7 billion) and the state owns a 67.2 percent stake. Aeroports de Paris is the second largest airport operator in the European Union.

Lafarge plans buyout of U.S. unit

Lafarge S.A. of France is planning a buyout of minority shareholders in its North American subsidiary for $3 billion. The cement industry giant is to offer $75 per share for the 46.8 percent ownership of Lafarge North America Inc. that is outstanding.
