EU penalizes elevator makers with its largest antitrust fine

Article Abstract:

European Union authorities have leveled a 992 million Euros ($1.3 billion) fine at four companies in the elevator industry in violation of antitrust law. ThyssenKrupp AG of Germany, United Technologies Corp. Otis division of the United States, Schindler Holding AG of Switzerland and KONE Corp. of Finland were disciplined for price fixing.

EU fines Bayer and Zeon for price fixing on rubber

Article Abstract:

Antitrust regulators from the European Commission have fined Japan's Zeon Corp. and Germany's Bayer AG for their roles in synthetic rubber price fixing in a cartel that operated from 2000 to 2002. Zeon's fine totaled 5.36 mil euro; Bayer's totaled 28.87 mil euro.
