Economic fears steered April trading

Article Abstract:

Investors in United States securities were influenced by fears over the global economy in April, 2005. Major stock indexes were decreased despite the weakness in the price of crude oil. Gold futures were stronger, although gold has been trading counter to the dollar for more than a year.

NYSE crackdown on trading data draws brokers' ire

The New York Stock Exchange Inc. of the United States has cracked down on over twenty corporations for submitting inaccurate and incomplete securities trading data to United States regulators. Fines are estimated as in excess of $1 million.
