Efficient solutions for the linear bilevel programming problem

Article Abstract:

A post optimality analysis is used to calculate efficient solutions after a non-Pareto-optimal solution to a linear bilevel programming problem is obtained. Bilevel programming is a unique case in multi-level programming, which involves a set of nested linear optimizations over a single polyhedral region. The analysis is designed to furnish decision makers with some rational efficient solutions to programming problems.

A soft dynamic programming approach for on-line aircraft 4D-trajectory optimization

Article Abstract:

A dynamic programing-based method was utilized to resolve a problem associated with on-line aircraft 4D-trajectory optimization. The method, which uses soft computing techniques, was able to enhance the optimum trajectory generation capabilities of Flight Management Systems (FMS). It was also able to attain significant fuel savings for 4D-optimization problems having a distinct hard time constraint.

Continuous optimization: suboptimality for multiobjective programming on Banach space

Article Abstract:

A large multiplier rule is established, in terms of Clarke generalized gradient that characterizes sub efficiency of a nondifferentiable multi-objective programming problem on a real Banach space. The rule is then utilized to establish relationship between suboptimal solution of multiobjective program and generalized saddle point of an appropriate vector-valued Lagrangian under invexity hypothesis.
