Electrabel et Monsanto: cog n ration Anvers

Article Abstract:

The Belgian electricity company, Electrabel, is to construct a combined power unit at Anvers, on the site belonging to the Belgian subsidiary of the American chemical group Monsanto. Representing an investment of BFr 1.3bn, financed at 95% by Electrabel, the 40 MW unit will produce 100 tons of steam per hour, enough to cover the heating requirements of the site. The plant is expected to be fully operational by the year 2000. The operation of the plant, estimated to last for 15 years, will be managed by the Monsanto group.

Electrabel: 8 adjudications en Wallonie

Article Abstract:

Electrabel, the Belgian group, has issued 8 invitations to tender for work in the electricity, gas, telecommunications, public lightly and high-voltage energy transport networks in Wallonia. This work, which represents a total investment of BFr 3.41bn, will be carried out between the beginning of 1999 and the end of 2001. These invitations to tender have been issued for the towns of Tournai, La Louvi re, Charleroi, Mouscron, Braine-l'Alleud, Marche-en-Famenne, Li ge, Nivelles, Arlon, and Eupen.

Electrabel: commandes Siemens et CMI

Article Abstract:

Electrabel, the Belgian electricity company is going to put a new 380 megawatts power station, named Vilvorde 1, into service by the year 2000 at site of the present Vilvorde power station. It will meet the needs of 300,000 people. It will have a gas turbine and recuperation boiler connected to the steam turbine and generator at the present power station. Siemens will supply the gas-fired turbine and the generator, and the recuperation boiler will be supplied by CMI.
