Electric cars gather speed

Article Abstract:

The postal service of France is to replace its fleet of 48,000 vans with electric powered vehicles over the next five years. A trial proved that the electric vans functioned well, cost less to operate than gasoline powered vehicles and the drivers reported greater job satisfaction. The pollution-free vehicles promote the clean environment policy of France.

Uncorking online profits: champagne producers take a sip with e-commerce

Article Abstract:

Most French champagne makers plan to launch a web site to promote their products. The plans are in part a response to the probable decrease of demand after the millennium celebrations end. Many of the wineries that have established virtual sites have not had much success because they lacked a proper e-commerce strategy.
