Xerox CFO Romeril will step down at the end of the year

Barry D. Romeril, the chief financial officer of Xerox Corp., will resign from his post at the end of 2001. The 58-year old Romeril is retiring from his post on the board of directors as well.

Lost in translation: European giant in magazines finds U.S. a tough read

Periodical publishing company Gruner and Jahr USA Publishing Co., a U.S. unit of Germany's Bertelsmann AG, has been plagued by failed titles and corporate infighting at its executive level. Former Gruner and Jahr executive Daniel Brewster, was let go from the company following allegations that he had been involved in falsifying circulation figures for the now-defunct magazine "Rosie." He has since launched a defamation suit against the company.

Embattled CEO to step down at UnitedHealth: top post will go to Hemsley as options scandal claims highest-profile casualty yet

Article Abstract:

Following an investigation into stock option manipulation at UnitedHealth Group Inc., CEO William McGuire is resigning. He will be replaced by Stephen Hemsley. Mr. McGuire has agreed to the repricing of all stock options issued to him between 1994 and 2002, significantly lowering their value.
