En bref/

Article Abstract:

The Swiss Public Health Office recommends introducing the idea of 'declaration levels' for labelling food containing genetically modified organisms (GMO). This measure is designed to make it unnecessary to label the presence of genetically modified organisms when there are only traces found in the product formulation. If this measure is adopted, it may take effect at the beginning of 1999.
