Entrepreneur gets big banks to back very small loans

Article Abstract:

Vikram Akula, SKS Microfinance Pvt. Ltd. of India lends small business entrepreneurs micro loans in a trend that is contributing to the growing economy. The micro loans empower the poor and particulary women in rural communities. Only about three percent of the micro loans are forfeited and the small business loan company has seen healthy profits over the last three years.
