Euro zone jobless rate drops

Article Abstract:

The European Union unemployment rate is down to a record 7.6 percent in November, 2006. Growth rates for the European economy are still slow however, as wages have not increased so consumer spending is not up. The European Union economic recovery continues.

EU inflation and jobless rates put central bank under pressure

Article Abstract:

The yearly inflation rate in the European Union rose higher than the European Central Bank's price stability definition. Inflation rose to 2.1% in August 2003. In addition, the European Union posted higher jobless rates such as in France and in Germany.

EU jobless rate drops to 7%: May figure a record, as brisk hiring leads to tight fiscal policy

Article Abstract:

The European Union reported the lowest unemployment rate in the euro zone during May 2007, at 7%, compared to 7.9% in May of last year. Unemployment was highest in France, reaching 8.7%, and lowest in the Netherlands, falling to 3.2%.
