Eurocopter 1998 sales

Article Abstract:

Eurocopter Group received a total order for helicopters worth FFr 11.901 thousand million in 1998. The company, which posted a turnover of about FFr 11.1 thousand million for 1998, received new orders for 272 helicopters for the entire year. These orders, which came amid the Asian financial crisis that resulted in reduced military spending, include 73 single-engine Ecureuil/Fennec, seven Super Puma/Cougar, 20 twin-engine Ecureuil/Fennec, 39 BK117, 16 Bo105 28 Dauphin/Panther and 44 EC135.

EC130 unveiled

Article Abstract:

Eurocopter has launched its EC130 B4 derivative of the AS350 B3 at HeliExpo in Anaheim, CA, on Feb 11, 2001, after having completed a 200 hr flight test andd certification program in Dec 2000. The 7/8 seat variant retains the main rotor control system and powerplant package of the B3 but introduces a strengthened tailboom, a fenestron with asymmetric blade spacing and a new widened cabin using doors and canopy components from the Colibri.

Eurocopter 2000 results

Article Abstract:

Eurocopter has achieved exceptional sales for the second year in a row in 2000. A total of 531 new helicopters were ordered in 22000,including 243 NH90s for the German, Italian, French and Dutch military. Other significant contracts signed in 2000, included six EC155s for Shellin Nigeria, six AS550, 13 AS350B3, two AS565 and one AS365N3 for the United Arab Emirates, and two EC725 for the French Air Force.
