Euronext net profit increases by 8.7 percent on higher volumes

Article Abstract:

Euronext N.V. of the Netherlands third quarter net profit increased by 8.7 percent to 77.4 million Euros ($99.3 million) from 71.2 million Euros last year. Strong revenues were due to increased securities and futures stock. The European stock exchange is to merge with NYSE Group Inc. of the United States.

Trading volumes buoy OMX's net; bid is considered

Third-quarter net profit for Sweden's OMX AB, a stock-exchange operator, rose 29% to reach $34.1 mil. Revenue was up 23%, and equity transaction totals rose 87%. OMX has reaffirmed that it will consider a revised joint offer from Borse Dubai and The Nasdaq Stock Market Inc.

OMX net jumps 80% on strength in equity, derivatives volumes

Article Abstract:

OMX AB of Sweden posted a soaring 80 percent increase in first quarter net profit to 243 million Swedish Kronor ($32.4 million) from 135 million Swedish Kronor last year. Sales at the stock exchange were up 22 percent to 903 million Swedish Kronor.
