The article discusses the deluge of new telecommunications IPOs ready to flood European stock markets this fall. Some of the biggest IPOs to be issued before the end of 2000 are expected from KPN NV with a Euro10 billion secondary share issue, and France Telecom S.A.'s New Orange with an IPO of up to E15 billion in shares.

Scottish Power plans to float its telecom unit by year end

Article Abstract:

Scottish Power PLC said it is planning to launch a public floatation for its Scottish Telecom unit by the end of 1999. The floatation could give the unit a value of 1.2 billion pounds to 1.5 billion pounds (1.87 billion euros to 2.34 billion euros).
