Experts say infrastructure stocks offer good returns, but not price stability

Article Abstract:

Some experts believe that infrastructure stocks are not as safe as many people believe them to be. They state that infrastructure stocks are not immune to the effects of economic cycles and speculative trading activities and as such, are not insulated from the volatility which characterizes many Asian stock markets today. However, they predict that infrastructure stocks will become more stable as stock markets mature and more big projects are completed.

Indian stocks' recovery fuels cautious optimism

Article Abstract:

The advent of monsoon rains and an anticipated robust growth pushed up India's stock market in Jul. 1995, causing the blue-chip Sensitive Index of the Bombay Stock Exchange to rise by over 10% within two weeks. However, analysts said the recovery may be short-lived and that a sustained rebound may take a long time. In the long-term, they agree that Indian stocks hold bright prospects, but are not as optimistic about the short term.

View of Malaysian stocks improves on signs in Ringgit

Article Abstract:

The Malaysian stock market is predicted to improve with the Ringgit finally showing signs of stability after months of continued decline. Investment advisers are advocating cautious investment in the market with large capitalization stocks as choice stocks. Investors maintain that the Ringgit is not seen to go down beyond 2.80 to the US Dollar and this may signal a slow ascent in the market.
