Exxon Mobil, Chevron beat earnings forecasts

Chevron Corp. and Exxon Mobil Corp. posted higher-than-expected earnings for the 2000 second-quarter. Chevron posted $1.75 per share net earnings, one cent higher than expected. Exxon posted $1.18 (1.27 euros) per share in net earnings, compared to analysts' expectations of $1.07 per share.

Exxon reports 44% net-income rise, while Conoco's earnings jump 64%

Exxon Mobil Corp. posted an increase of 44% in its 2001 first-quarter net income to $5 billion (5.53 billion euros). Conoco Inc. posted an increase of 54% in its quarterly net income to $653 million.

Exxon's net income slides 44%, weighed down by low oil prices

Article Abstract:

Exxon Corp. posted a 44% decline in its earnings for the first quarter of 1999. The oil company's figures were hurt by reduced oil prices, which have continued to affect its financial performance. Exxon posted $1.14 billion in earnings for the quarter. This was based on $26.88 billion in revenues. The company posted $1.89 billion in earnings during the same period in 1998.
