FRANCE: AUCHAN'S PILOT STATION IN MARSEILLE

Article Abstract:

The French hypermarkets network Auchan operates a pilot service station in Marseille . In addition to a motor oil collection unit, the station includes a separate collection system for the contaminated rainwater. A system has been installed on fuel pumps allows to collect gas while the client fills in his tank. A different system has been installed on diesel oil pumps, where guns include a valve system which suppresses the spill risk when the client completes the operation. Last but not least, the station has installed a valve system on top of the deposit pipes, which only release petrol fumes under high pressure.

FRANCE: THE WALLPAPER MARKET

Article Abstract:

Thicker papers which are easier to install, papers with relief patterns, and plain products, are part of the new trends in wallpaper in France. In France, this market suffers from the wide range of prices (from a few FFr to FFr 120-160 the roll), too many references available, and the lack of communication from brands. The very fragmented market houses several dozens of manufacturers, though only two (Essef and Abelia) have a significant size with around one third or one quarter of the market.
