FRANCE: SARA LEE COMPETES ON DEODORANT MARKET

Article Abstract:

Sara Lee believes that Press Control dispensing technology will ensure that its Sanex deodorants are distinguishable from competing products. This technology, which allows a small amount of the product to be dispensed when the bottle is pressed, will be used for an antiperspirant/deodorant gel and a balm for sensitive skin. Both products have a rounded, extra-large applicator which is easy to use and can be rinsed afterwards. Sara Lee is also responding to competition in the deodorant market with advertising, and plans to run a campaign from October 2001.
