FRANCE: PENNZOIL LAUNCHES NEW CAR OIL

Article Abstract:

Pennzoil Quaker State of the US, leading supplier of oil for car engines, is targeting the French market with a new Pennzoil brand developed especially for Europe , and produced in Spain. The company is keen to expand in the European market. The product comprises three oils, 5W40 a synthetic oil, 10W40, a semi-synthetic oil, and 15W40, a mineral. It is on sale only at auto centres, in packaging to make it stand out from other brands. It comes in 1 litre and 5 litre containers. Pennzoil Quaker State has a global turnover of EUR 3.81bn, including EUR 9.15mn in France . It also has a factory in Spain. It is well know for very carefully refined, top quality base products. It even has a network of Qlub service points, where oil can be changed, with work bays and a little accessory shop.

FRANCE: HOLTS REPACKAGES RANGE

Article Abstract:

Manufacturer of engine additives, Holts has revamped its portfolio of products in an attempt to meet customer demands. The range is smaller and its uses easier to understand, featuring a colour coding system plus different shaped bottles, which enable easy differentiation between additives for diesel engines and those for petrol. Frequent users can purchase large bottles which are calibrated to indicate doses, while the occasional user can buy a smaller bottle for only one treatment. Prices range from FFr 40 to FFr 45.

FRANCE: CASTROL WIND AWARD

Castrol has won a bronze award from the French Merchandising Institute for its efforts to simplify its product range. The company undertook research into consumer expectations, and reorganised its oils into broad groups linked with types of usage and type of engine.
