Article Abstract:

Architectural firm Patel Taylor acted as its own client for a mixed residential and office development in Camden Town, north London, England. This approach allowed considerable flexibility, and a large part of the work was undertaken after the firm moved into the building. A timber staircase leads from the ground floor to a mezzanine meeting area, which in turn gives views across the 5 mt high main office space.
