Federal Express, French Post Office to form alliance

Article Abstract:

Federal Express Corp. will probably announce an alliance with Chronopost Internationale, a unit of La Poste that delivers international packages, soon. The alliance would provide FedEx with a big partner as it develops its services in Europe, and provide La Poste access to worldwide shipping routes, furthering its plan to develop globally.

AeroMexico to join Air France, Delta

Article Abstract:

AeroMexico is expected to form an airline partnership with Delta Air Lines and Air France. The alliance will be formed by the early part of 2000. The three airlines will sell tickets on each other's flights under the alliance. They will also have joint frequent-flier programs and permit airport lounge access to each other's passengers.

Airborne's net loss exceeds estimates

Article Abstract:

Airborne Inc. reported higher-than-forecasted losses for the 2001 first-quarter. The company posted $17 million (19.1 million euros) in net losses for the period, compared to $32.1 million in net income during the same 2000 period.
