Article Abstract:

The internet is a key technological development and is fostering the rapid dissemination of improvements, with business being reshaped more rapidly than is often realized. Attention has tended to be focused on new companies, but the impact on established enterprises is also significant. Big companies established brand names have good prospects for survival. The way that companies relate to each other, and relations within companies are more likely to change rapidly than the way that companies relate to consumers.
