Information technology specialist Damarel has been selected to supply the flight information system needed by Groundstar's airport handling operations at London Heathrow, Stansted, Newcastle, Manchester and Birmingham airports. The company's FIND system enables ground handling staff at each airport to access real time information about aircraft movements. The application provides details such as flight location, departure time, passenger numbers and estimated arrival time.

Article Abstract:

The Sharjah Airport Authority of the United Arab Emirates has awarded a contract worth 147,000 pounds sterling for the provision of air traffic communications system to Avionic Services of the UK. Avionic Services will install the system and will also supply ancilliaries that include a master clock system, crash alarm and an uninterruptible power supply. The company is also the contractor for the electronic systems at the Liverpool Airport control tower.

Finland finished upgrade programme

Article Abstract:

Airsys ATM has been contracted by the Finnish government to supply its Eurocat 2000 automation product to area control centers at Helsinki, Rovanient, and Tampere, Finland, and tower systems at 24 airports. The contract, which is under the Finnish Air Traffic Management Integration program, also includes the delivery of full scale simulators at Helsinki and Tampere.
