Focus shifts away from Asia

Article Abstract:

Procter & Gamble Co. cites the need for it to restructure its tampon operations, as shown by the firm's quiet marketing shift for its Tampax tampon brand away from some Asian countries, such as Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Procter & Gamble's marketing manager for Singapore, Christina Law, cited that the suspension of Tampax sales was necessary for the company to first consolidate tampon operations into its whole business network, adding that the Tampax tampon brand will be launched again in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
