Following pack, Finacor to cease floor trading in bond futures

Article Abstract:

Finacor-Vendome, a France-based independent bond-broking firm, intends to eliminate its team of over 50 floor traders at the Paris, France, fixed-income futures exchange, according to sources close to the firm. The firm will also be restoring its Paris futures business by relocating five traders back to its based in the French capital from London, UK, by the middle of June 1998. Finacor-Vendome's senior executives in Paris were not around to comment on any of the moves but a source said that he does not believe that floor-trading operations will officially shut down before July 1998.
