Full steam ahead for Thomas and Friends

Article Abstract:

Southampton, England, is a thriving commercial town, according to character licensing concern Britt Allcroft Co Chief Executive Angus Wright. He and co-founder Britt Allcroft decided to base the company in Southampton because they were already working there as employees of Southern TV. It was not necessary to be based in London, England, as Southampton has good transport links, according to Britt Allcroft Finance Director William Harris. The company has shown strong talent for managing the Thomas the Tank Engine brand, as reflected in its sustained long-term revenue flow.

Article Abstract:

Some observers believe that buyout activity in the UK is characterized by deals which involve several bidders competing for non-core, mature businesses. The quality of businesses justifies return predictions, and buyout companies continue to perform more strongly than the stock market as a whole. However, it seems that little attention is giving to risk-taking, even though companies which are prepared to take risks could derive considerable benefits.
