Fun way to profit

Article Abstract:

Tourism is rising in economic importance in Indonesia. In 1992 3.1 million foreigners travelled to Indonesia and spent $3.2 billion, four times the 1987 figure of $788 million and ranking tourism behind only textiles and processed wood as a non-oil or gas export earner. Indonesia's tourist industry may be making $10 billion in earnings by 2000. That 41.7% of the tourists went because friends had spoken favorably of Indonesia augers well for the future of tourism there. Singapore produced the largest share of tourists but largely because of its proximity to Indonesia. Japan was the second largest source.
