GALILEO (I) LAUNCHES RESERVATION PACKAGE

Article Abstract:

Galileo India Private Limited (GIPL) has introduced a new software called Galileo India Accountant (GIA) for travel agencies in India. GIA is a travel agency management and accounting system. The software was developed indigenously on Windows 95/NT technology. It is the first fully functional back- office package. GIA integrates front and back office operations and provides enhanced financial tracking. It offers multi-level security and complete audit trail for any changes made to financial data. It helps keep track of business on a daily basis. GIPL posted sales of Rs12 crore in 1997-98. (rk)

WIPRO LAUNCHES SOFTWARE PRODUCT; MULLS NEW CENTRES

Wipro Enterprise Solutions has released a software product called ServiceEdge, a service management system, and plans to launch two more, a convergent billing solution and a document management system, in the near future. The company is thinking of setting up a second centre at Chennai and one each at New Delhi, Pune and Calcutta.
