GE tells regulators it's prepared to sell Honeywell unit

General Electric Co. (GE) is ready to sell off the regional jet-engine operations of Honeywell International Inc. GE made the announcement in order to satisfy the European Union which has opposed the company's planned $40 billion (47.29 billion euros) bid for Honeywell.
