GLFL Housing Finance Ltd has slashed its interest rates, ranging between 0.5 percent and one percent, with effect from March 23, 1999. The company has stated that loans of Rs2 lakh will now be charged an interest rate of 13.50 percent (14 percent previously), 13.50 percent (14.50 percent) for loans between Rs2 lakh to Rs5 lakh, 15 percent (16 percent) for loans between Rs5 lakh and Rs10 lakh and 15.50 percent (16.50 percent) for loans between Rs10 lakh and Rs25 lakh.
