How to get things done in China

Article Abstract:

Foreigners should familiarize themselves with the way things are done in China. Although they may seem illogical to Westerners, they have an internal logic which can be manipulated to suit the purposes of foreigners. The system is change-resistant and conservative, and authority is not delegated to the lower echelons of administration. Despite the difficulties entailed, using the right approach can achieve many tasks that appear at first glance to be impossible.
