Austria's OMV plans to acquire utility Verbund

OMV AG of Austria is to purchase Osterreichische Elekrizitatswirtschafts AG also of Austria. The acquisition is valued at 13 billion Euros ($16.58 billion). The Austrian government will offer its 51 percent stake in return for a minority holding.
