Gas-price limits cause MOL to post net loss

Magyar Olaj and Gazipari Rt. (MOL) posted an 11.5 billion forints (44.6 million euros) net loss for the 2001 first-quarter. Limits on gas prices were blamed for the loss, which was compared to a 24.68 billion forints net profit in the same 2000 period.

Better gas operations let MOL narrow its net loss

MOL Rt. posted a smaller net loss for the 2001 third-quarter. The company posted 9.6 billion forints in net losses for the period, compared to 12.24 billion forints in the same 2000 period.

TotalFinaElf boosts annual dividend on high oil prices

TotalFinaElf SA said its dividend for the 2000 year increased 38%. The company's dividend rose from 2.40 euros per share from 3.30 euros per share.
