Gazprom says it controls Media Most.; Majority stake might benefit Moscow in dispute with indebted firm

Gazprom, the Russian gas utility, claims to hold directly or as collateral more than 50% of the shares of Media Most, whose television station has aired critical coverage of the government. Since the Russian government owns 38% of Gazprom, it could put pressure on the media company to change its coverage.

EBRD considers $250 million loan to Gazprom
