Give Your Hi-Res Text a Whirl

Article Abstract:

A program is presented which allows users to generate high-resolution text anywhere they desire on a display when working with an Apple computer. The program has been written to allow the use of simple BASIC statements when implemented. With it users can animate text and can write it in inverse mode as well as normal, and vertically as well as horizontally. Text can also be rotated. Two figures are presented -- one a bit array, the second a sample graphic creation -- as are three program listings: two are short, related BASIC programs, and the third is the actual text program. There are also lists of the hexidecimal dump of the character set and of the program.
