Glasgow's dynamic duo: despite their success as developers, Andy Burrell and John Forbes are still architects at heart

Article Abstract:

Andy Burrell undertook his architectural training at the University of Dundee and the Architectural Association. He worked for the Scottish Special Housing Association acquiring knowledge of housing procurement and large scale housing developments, and joined forces with architect Andy Doolan in 1980 to create Kantel, a development company. Kantel built up a reputation for inspired restoration projects, and Burrell went on to set up the Burrel Company with John Forbes. The company has been involved projects such as Carrick Quay, Glasgow and the Glasgow Tower Competition.
